A THIRD variation of the Yam-Slam Mash Up! Yam is such a great base, we can’t seem to get enough!
This 3rd Mash Up (Yam-Slam & Yam-Slam 2.0) is sort of a combination of our yam recipes and the Ohm-Mazing Breakfast Bowl. It has a similar breakfast-y theme, but can still be eaten any time of the day!
Yam-Slam Mash Up 3.0:
> baked yam
> organic, plain yogurt (flavoured yogurts are full of sugar, and non-organic milk means cows may have been fed GMOs… Beware! If you are in the USA, milk may also have hormones/antibiotics.)
> dates & raisins
> crunchy peanut butter
> slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts & hemp seeds
> cinnamon & a touch of Himalayan salt
Use which ever ingredients you have on hand to make endless variations of this recipe! As long as they are healthy options, this meal will be kind to your body!
Topping & Flavour Ideas:
Nuts & Seeds: chia seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut flakes, slivered almonds, sesame seeds, walnuts, pecans, a few coffee beans
Fruit: any berry (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, goji, golden), pear, pomegranate, banana, melon, dates, figs, raisins, grapes, apple
Spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice, cardamom
Sweet: maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, jam, fruit compote
